It is already decided that pod casting is awesome but where does the power really lie in this social media form of technology. Broadcasting audio is a powerful way to reach people. Just think about what radio has done for countless artists, talk radio hosts, news communication and so on. Since pod casts can be created and uploaded by anyone anywhere in the world there is opportunity to have access to news, information, product reviews, etc. that would not normally be heard on commercial air waves. The power lies with the people and that is why pod casting is such an amazing advancement in technology.

Pod casting is often used by journalists in war torn areas or places that get no formal forms of news coverage. The world is becoming a much smaller place because people's stories from even the most remote places are being heard. Pod casts are also an inexpensive way to advertise and market a product or service. Apple has had their hands in some of the most exciting media advancements in recent years and I can only hope that that forces other large companies to make even better advancements.
